Vietnam's coffee exports in November soared 72.6 percent from a year earlier to 122,000 tonnes, or 2.03 million bags, the Vietnam Customs department said on Thursday, higher than market expectations and the government's preliminary estimate.

Exports in October and November, the first months of the 2012/2013 crop year, were 224,300 tonnes (3.7 million 60-kg bags), more than doubling from 103,000 tonnes a year ago, based on customs and government data. Traders had earlier forecast exports of between 75,000-100,000 tonnes for November, while the government had estimated 110,000 tonnes.
